• Dock access — Many facilities in dense urban areas can only accommodate straight trucks. If your dock is designed for smaller vehicles, receiving a tractor-trailer delivery may require offloading at a nearby staging area and shuttling product in — adding cost and time.
• Delivery speed — For local routes, straight trucks are faster overall because they require less time to load, unload, and navigate between stops.
