Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 4, 2026 | Last Updated: August 4, 2026
President Container Group, including its divisions President Container, President Industrial Products, Artisan Display & Packaging, and Tech-Pak Pack-Out & Assembly (collectively, “PCG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit presidentcontainergroup.com and any related pages we operate (the “Site”), request a quote, contact us, apply for employment, or otherwise interact with us online or offline.
As used in this Policy, “personal information” (or “personally identifiable information” / “PII,” as those terms are used in U.S. privacy law and information security) means information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. You may browse the public areas of the Site anonymously without providing personal information; we ask for personal information only when you choose to submit a form, apply for a job, or otherwise contact or transact with us, and through the automatic collection described in Section 1.B.
Please read this Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge this Policy and, where consent is the applicable legal standard, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described below, including the use of cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies by us and the third-party partners identified in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site, and see “Your Choices” below for ways to limit tracking.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you choose to give us, including when you:
- Request a quote or contact us. Our quote, contact, and surplus-inventory inquiry forms collect your first and last name, company name, email address, telephone number, mailing address (street, city, state, ZIP code, country), how you heard about us, and any details you include in your message or project description.
- Apply for a job. Our online employment application collects your name, contact information, employment history, education, professional or technical licenses and training, your résumé or CV and any information it contains, and related information you provide. See Section 9 (Job Applicants) below.
- Do business with us. If you become a customer or supplier, we collect business contact information, order and transaction details, shipping information, and payment-related information processed through our accounting and payment providers.
- Communicate with us. We collect the contents of emails, form submissions, and other messages you send us. If you call us, we may keep notes of the call, and calls may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance where permitted by law; where the law requires, you will be notified before any recording begins.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our third-party partners automatically collect certain information about your device and your interactions with the Site using cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, log files, and similar technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”). This information includes: IP address and approximate location derived from it; browser type and version; device type and operating system; referring URLs and search terms; pages viewed, links clicked, forms interacted with, and time spent on pages; and identifiers associated with cookies and similar technologies.
The Site currently uses the following categories of Tracking Technologies:
- Tag management and analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site, measure traffic, and improve our content and services. We may also enable Google Analytics Advertising Features, including Demographics and Interests Reporting, which use first-party and third-party cookies (including Google advertising cookies) to compile aggregate reports about the demographics and interests of Site visitors. Google may process this data on servers in the United States and elsewhere. Learn more at policies.google.com/privacy; you can adjust your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com and opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Advertising pixels and conversion tracking. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking, and may use similar advertising technologies from other providers. These tools may collect information about your visit (such as pages viewed and actions taken) and transmit it to the provider, which may associate it with your account on that platform and use it to measure and deliver advertising to you on and off that platform. This activity may constitute “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain state privacy laws, and you may opt out as described in Section 6. Learn more at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- Essential technologies. We use cookies and scripts necessary for the Site to function, including security features such as CAPTCHA verification on our forms.
- Embedded content and social media. Pages that include embedded videos (such as YouTube), social media links, or share buttons (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) may allow those platforms to collect information about your visit, set their own cookies, and track your viewing activity, subject to their own privacy policies.
Notice and consent to interception. Some of the Tracking Technologies described above may collect, record, and transmit information about your interactions with the Site — including pages visited, clicks, and information you type into forms — in real time, and may be operated by third-party vendors acting on our behalf. Non-essential Tracking Technologies do not set cookies or collect personal information for analytics or advertising until you opt in through our cookie consent banner, as described in Section 4. By using the Site with notice of this Policy, and by opting in through the consent banner, you expressly consent to this activity by us and our vendors, including for purposes of the California Invasion of Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code §§ 630–638.55), the federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act, and similar federal and state laws governing the interception, recording, or use of electronic communications and the use of pen register or trap-and-trace-like technologies.
C. Information from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from business partners, referral sources, publicly available sources (such as company websites and professional networking sites), credit and trade references in connection with commercial accounts, and analytics and advertising providers, and we may combine it with information we collect directly.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries, prepare quotes, process and fulfill orders, arrange delivery, and provide customer service;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our products and services, including analytics, troubleshooting, and testing;
- To send transactional communications about your orders, quotes, and account;
- To send marketing communications, such as periodic emails about products, specials, surplus inventory, and company news, where permitted by law (you may opt out at any time — see Section 6);
- To measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising, including through the advertising and analytics partners described above;
- To evaluate and process employment applications;
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other illegal activity, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of PCG, our customers, and others;
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, establish or defend legal claims, and respond to lawful requests from government authorities; and
- For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time of collection or with your consent.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors). Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract (quotes, orders, applications); our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site, B2B marketing, analytics, defending claims), balanced against your rights; your consent (non-essential cookies and similar technologies, and marketing where consent is required), which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations.
3. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. We disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, form processing, tag management, analytics, IT and security, email delivery, payment processing, shipping and logistics, and recruiting support. These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations and are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us. Except as described in this Policy — including the advertising and analytics disclosures above — we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties.
- Advertising and analytics partners. As described in Section 1.B, Tracking Technologies on the Site transmit information to partners such as Google and Meta. Under some state laws this is treated as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or processing for “targeted advertising,” and you have the right to opt out (Section 6 and Section 10).
- Affiliates and divisions. We share information among PCG divisions and affiliated companies for the purposes described in this Policy.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required or permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to enforce our agreements and site policies; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PCG, our employees, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. If PCG or any of its divisions is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable confidentiality protections.
- Aggregated and de-identified information. We may share aggregated or de-identified visitor information that does not identify you with third parties for marketing, advertising, analytics, or other purposes. Where we maintain de-identified information, we commit to maintaining it in de-identified form and not attempting to re-identify it, except as permitted by law to test our de-identification processes.
- With your direction or consent. We may disclose information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction.
4. Cookies and Your Tracking Choices
You have several ways to control Tracking Technologies:
- Cookie banner / preference center. The Site presents a cookie consent banner on your first visit. Until you opt in, non-essential Tracking Technologies do not set cookies on your device or collect personal information for analytics or advertising purposes: advertising pixels (such as the Meta Pixel) are not loaded at all, and Google scripts operate only in a restricted, cookieless “consent mode” with analytics and advertising storage denied. You can accept, reject, or change your preferences at any time via the “Cookie Settings” or “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site may not function properly.
- Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) and optout.networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative), and for EU visitors at youronlinechoices.eu.
- Platform opt-outs. You can manage ad preferences directly with Google (adssettings.google.com) and Meta (in your Facebook ad preferences).
- Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, to the extent required by applicable law, for the browser or device from which the signal is sent.
Do Not Track: apart from GPC as described above, the Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, for which no industry standard has been adopted.
5. Email, Phone, and Text Communications
In accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act, we will not use false or misleading subject lines or email addresses, we will identify advertising messages as such where required, we will include our physical business address in our emails, we will honor opt-out requests promptly, and we will allow you to unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time — either by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by emailing info@presidentcontainer.com with your request, and we will remove you from all marketing correspondence. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you transactional or relationship messages (such as responses to your inquiries, quotes, and order updates). If we offer text/SMS communications, we will only send marketing texts with the prior express consent required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA); message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out by replying STOP. If you no longer wish to receive marketing calls, you may ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list by contacting us as described in Section 14.
6. Advertising Opt-Out Summary
To limit the use of your information for advertising: use the cookie banner or “Your Privacy Choices” link on the Site; enable GPC in your browser; use the industry and platform opt-outs listed in Section 4; and/or submit an opt-out request to us as described in Section 10. Because these tools are cookie- and device-based, you may need to renew your choices if you clear cookies or use a different browser or device.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Criteria we use to determine retention periods include: the duration of our relationship with you; whether we have an ongoing business need (such as an open quote, order, warranty, or account); our legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations; the applicable statutes of limitation for potential disputes; and whether retention is advisable for security, fraud prevention, or defense of legal claims. Employment applications are retained in accordance with applicable employment record-keeping laws. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely archive it.
8. How We Protect Information
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including TLS/SSL encryption of data transmitted through the Site, access controls, regular malware scanning, and vendor due diligence. We do not request or collect credit card numbers or Social Security numbers through the Site. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please help protect your information by not including sensitive information (such as government ID numbers or financial account numbers) in free-text form fields or unencrypted email.
Fair Information Practices; breach notification. Our practices are informed by the Fair Information Practice Principles. Should a data breach affecting your personal information occur, we will notify affected users within 7 business days of our determination of the breach — by email where we have a current email address for you, and/or by a notice posted on the Site — except where a delay is requested by law enforcement or is necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the integrity of our systems, in which case we will notify you without unreasonable delay thereafter. In all events we will notify affected individuals and applicable regulators within the time and in the manner required by applicable law. We support the individual redress principle: individuals should have enforceable remedies against data collectors and processors that fail to adhere to the law, and nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable right you have under applicable law or your right to complain to a government or supervisory authority; the forum and procedure for resolving disputes between you and PCG are governed by our Website Terms of Use.
9. Job Applicants
Information submitted through our online employment application is used to evaluate your candidacy, communicate with you about your application, comply with legal obligations (including equal employment opportunity and record-keeping requirements), and, if you are hired, for onboarding and employment administration. We consider applicants without regard to any status protected by applicable law. Do not include sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or health information) in your résumé or application unless specifically requested through a secure process. Applicant information may be shared with service providers that support our recruiting and with background check providers where permitted by law and, where required, with your authorization under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
10. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, state law (including laws in California, New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and a growing number of other states) may give you some or all of the following rights with respect to personal information that is subject to those laws:
- Right to know / access. To confirm whether we process your personal information and to access it, including (in California) the categories collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to which it was disclosed.
- Right to correct. To request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to delete. To request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to portability. To obtain a copy of personal information in a portable format.
- Right to opt out. To opt out of the “sale” of personal information, the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising cookies and pixels may be considered a “sale,” “share,” or “targeted advertising” under these laws; you may opt out via the methods in Section 4 and Section 6.
- Right to limit sensitive information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site except as you voluntarily provide it, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit under California law.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising your rights.
California notice at collection: in the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information described in Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140: identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address); customer records information; commercial information (quotes, orders, inquiries); internet or other electronic network activity information (browsing and interaction data collected via Tracking Technologies); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; professional or employment-related information (applicants and business contacts); education information (applicants); audio information (recorded calls, where applicable); and inferences drawn from the foregoing. Sources, purposes, and disclosures are as described in Sections 1–3. We retain each category as described in Section 7. We “share” identifiers and internet activity information with advertising partners as described above; we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Exercising your rights. Regardless of where you live, any visitor may review, correct, update, or ask us to delete their personal information at any time by emailing info@presidentcontainer.com or calling (201) 933-7500. To exercise a right under a specific state law, you (or your authorized agent, where permitted) may submit a request by emailing info@presidentcontainer.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or by calling (201) 933-7500. We will verify your identity using information reasonably related to your request (such as the email address associated with our records) and respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny your request, residents of certain states (including New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut) may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal”; if the appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General. California residents may also contact us for information regarding disclosures to third parties for direct marketing under the “Shine the Light” law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83).
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). In accordance with CalOPPA: you can visit the public areas of the Site anonymously; a link to this Privacy Policy, containing the word “Privacy,” is posted conspicuously in the Site footer and can be found on our home page; you will be notified of changes to this Policy on this Privacy Policy page; and you can change your personal information by emailing or calling us as described above. This Policy also discloses that third parties may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site, as described in Sections 1.B and 3.
Note on B2B and applicant data: some state privacy laws exempt or treat differently information collected in a business-to-business or employment context; we honor the rights above to the extent required by the law applicable to you.
11. Visitors from the EEA, UK, and Other Jurisdictions (GDPR)
The Site is operated from the United States and is directed to customers in North America. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, please note that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, President Container Group is the controller of personal data described in this Policy, our legal bases are described in Section 2, and you have the right to: access, rectify, or erase your personal data; restrict or object to processing (including direct marketing); data portability; withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing; and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) with relevant recipients, or other lawful transfer mechanisms. To exercise these rights, contact us as described in Section 14.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Site is a business-to-business website intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it as required by law, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
13. Third-Party Sites; Accessibility
The Site contains links to third-party websites and services — including social media platforms, our employee benefits portal, and sustainability certification sites — that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Accessibility: PCG is committed to making the Site accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities, and we work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, including through an accessibility widget (UserWay) available on every page that provides assistive features; the widget’s provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver those features. If you have difficulty accessing any part of the Site or need this Policy or any Site content in an alternative format, please contact us at info@presidentcontainer.com or (201) 933-7500 and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an alternative method.
