What Is a Shipper Display?

A shipper display is a corrugated packaging solution that serves a dual purpose: it protects products during shipping and then converts into a branded retail display at the store. The outer shipping container is designed with perforated tear-away panels, fold-down flaps, or removable lids that reveal a finished, retail-ready merchandising unit inside. Store associates simply open the shipper, remove the outer packaging elements, and place the display on the shelf or sales floor.

Shipper displays are closely related to PDQ trays and retail ready packaging, all of which share the goal of minimizing in-store labor while maximizing speed to shelf. The key distinction of a shipper display is its emphasis on converting from a fully enclosed shipping container into an open, branded display.
